The meeting with the manager of the Cluster Energy and Environment NEU e.V. was held on July 20th, 2016 at the conference rooms of the cluster at Augustusplatz No. 7, Leipzig. The Energy & Environment Cluster and the Energy &Environment Association (NEU e.V.) are key drivers for the growth of Leipzig´s economy. The diversity of the sector is represented by a broad range of diverse organizations based in Leipzig and the region such as: gas giant VNG, EEX European Energy Exchange, DBFZ German Biomass Research Centre or UFZ Helmholtz Centre for Environmental Research.
The activities and objectives of the RATIO project were introduced and discussed the possibilities for further collaboration and the involvement of the cluster teams in the development of the action plan. There are 7 cluster teams organized to different topics.

Education
Each of the cluster teams has a cluster team leader who frequently organize meetings to discuss the overall activities of the Cluster Energy and Environment. Beside the meeting of the leader cluster team, there are also work group meetings in each thematic cluster team. We discussed our involvement in the different work group meetings so that we can involve a broad range of experiences and interests in our project activities. At the end of the meeting we were invited to present the project to the cluster team leaders and the meeting was planned to be organized at the end of September. After the meeting we have prepared a short project sketch about the planned activities which were forwarded to Dr. Christina Peters.
