The learning obtained from the event was of real value and will be shared with partners in due course. REBUS was too late to present this year but this is an option for us at next year’s event, one in which will be discussed at forthcoming partnership meetings in Hungary.
The (EUSEW) policy conference is the most important European conference dedicated to sustainable energy policy issues. Sessions were organised by the European Commission and permitted debate on new policy developments, best practices and sustainable energy ideas, some of these policies are directly connected with REBUS. A number of policy seminars were attended, for example: SMEs and entrepreneurs as drivers towards clean energy, Energy Audit obligations — a roadmap to 2019 building on national feedback and best practices, Data centres — nearly zero energy consumption, Digitalisation in energy to name but a few.
In addition, the project REBUS took the opportunity to visit the networking village on a few occasions. In the networking area, a rolling series of half-day interactive presentations and dynamic activities allowed REBUS to engage with many other participants of the (EUSEW) event. The opportunity was taken for dissemination of REBUS outputs thus far and the project met some very interested parties who will now attach themselves to the work of REBUS.
