VENUE: Palazzina Reale, piazza Stazione n.50 – Association of Architects - Florence
KNOWLEDGE CAFÈ WORKSHOP WITH LOCAL STAKEHOLDERS
Egidio Raimondi, President of Association of Architects – Florence, opens the event and welcomes all participants and local stakeholders. Strong interest on the REBUS project is shown and the theme of renovation works in public buildings is recognised as strategically important for the region and the association of architects, gathering ca. 5000 professionals in the region and continuously collaborating with local authorities for policies definition and implementation.
Sergio Gatteschi, Florentine Energy Agency – Lead Partner, presents the project and main objectives to the wider public. Participants are invited to introduce themselves, thus allowing both partners and local stakeholders (LS) to get to know each other.
Among the LS there are:
- Tuscany Region (Managing authority), represented by councillor Elisabetta Meucci, who stresses the strategic importance of the REBUS project and its theme for the regional authority, sharing the enthusiasm of the regional government and their willingness to participate in all project activities both at local and interregional level
- Association of Municipalities/ Association of architects/ Builders Professional School/ Other professionals: (e.g. engineers and architects) all interested in the REBUS initiative and willingly to collaborate with the project and be part of the Local Stakeholders Group.
Miriam Siciliano presents in details the Energy Renovation Path to be developed within the REBUS project and the importance of local stakeholders in the path development.
Paolo Frosini introduces the participative session of the knowledge café workshop. An open and creative session with focus on the selected topics (identification, finance and tendering, monitoring, horizontal capacity building theme) is held, with the aim to surface participants collective knowledge, share ideas and insights, and gain a deeper understanding of the subject and the issues involved.
Participants are divided into 3 groups, chaired by Paolo, Miriam and Sergio, respectively, thus helping to overcome any linguistic barriers. Groups are a mix between partners and LS. Each group works together in order to built an “ideal policy” tackling one or more of the 4 topics. At the end of the session, a selected rapporteur from each group presents the policy. Each participant has to vote for the presented policies.
The final outcomes are outlined in the Full Minute Report.
The workshop was a good participative momentum, providing the participants with the possibility of thinking “ideally” but trying to match it with real needs and experiences.
