Between the 24th and 26th of October BORA 94 NonProfit Corporation and SE RDA (SouthEast Regional Development Agency) staff and LSG (Local Stakeholder Group) members both from Hungary and Romania have exchange experiences with the representatives of the Region of Crete and local municipalities.

Main topics and GPs discussed during the 2-day meeting were the following:

  • Green roof installed on the Treasury Building of the Financial Ministry in Athens and on the municipal building of Hersonisos Municipality, which was a low cost investment;
  • the EURONET50/50 max program methodology and implementation experiences, which aims at improving the energy efficiency of school buildings involving the owner municipalities, teachers and students;
  • the Green Strategy and its implementation at the Chania-based Technical University of Crete (TUC);
  • as well as the prioritization methodology elaborated in the frame of the SHERPA (Interreg MED) project for selecting public (regional and municipal) buildings for energy efficient renovation.

During the discussions the partners have evaluated the possibility of the potential transfer of the Good Practices (GPs) introduced.

Presentations about the GPs are available on the BORA 94 website here.
