The RECREATE project is co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund and implemented under the Interreg Europe programme. Its aim is to improve the capacity and capability of regional transport Small Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in four European Regions: West Midlands (UK), South Aegean Region (Greece), Lithuania and South West Oltenia (Romania).
Within the project, a Policy Recommendations Report has been developed and is available online on the project website in the library section (https://www.interregeurope.eu/fileadmin/user_upload/tx_tevprojects/library/file_1631286278.pdf).
The Report describes the Policy Recommendations developed by the RECREATE Project Partners. They aim at improving all relevant schemes that could potentially deliver growth to transport SMEs in the regions involved. These include support for research and development, rapid development and implementation of products and services, access to finance schemes and internationalisation. It is specifically aimed at local authorities and policy makers of the RECREATE regions, but it can be useful for any region interested in improving the competitiveness of their transport SMEs.
