Around 30 participants attended the participatory planning workshop, as part of the citizen interaction in the framework of the REFORM extension. The online event, which took place on 17 July 2022 aimed to assess the situation of local SUMP implementation in the Metropolitan Area of Thessaloniki throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.


Τhe Deputy Regional Governor of the Region of Central Macedonia, Mr Paris Mpillias, addressed a greeting, discussing about the importance of participatory planning, while Dr. Maria Morfoulaki, on behalf of the lead partner HIT/CERTH, presented the REFORM project, its targets, its key achievements and its next steps. The good practices proposed by the project partners, were presented via a relevant video, and the Observatory and the Competence Center of the Sustainable Mobility Strategies operating in the Region by Dr. Konstantia Mpessa from the Region of Central Macedonia and Dr. Maria Morfoulaki from the lead partner. The e-smartec tools and methodologies was presented by Mrs Glykeria Myrovali from the Lead Partner and tools for participatory planning and their importance were highlighted by Mrs Chrysanthi Kiskini from the Regional development Fund of central Macedonia. The event included an interactive discussion during which the participants had the opportunity to position themselves, discuss and exchange practices.
