One day after the 5th SUMP Conference which took place in Nicosia (14-15 May 2018) and at which the REFORM project was represented, both at sessions and in the exhibition area, over 30 participants met for a dedicated REFORM workshop.
Representatives of the REFORM partners and representatives of the cities and towns located in the four REFORM regions met for a special workshop in Nicosia. One SUMP-related Good Practice (GP) from each region: Emilia-Romagna (IT), Parkstad Limburg (NL), Central Macedonia (GR) and Greater Manchester (UK) have been presented to the audience. The four presentations focused respectively on:
- The set-up of an In-house company for managing traffic and mobility data in Regione Emilia-Romagna;
- The integration of the SUMP process into the Regional Energy Plan – PALET of the region Parkstad Limburg;
- The development of the Mobility Monitoring Centre for the metropolitan area of Thessaloniki (Central Macedonia);
- The development and use of Greater Manchester's SUMP Evidence Base and Information Gathering system.
The four Good Practices are all included in the REFORM Good Practices collection booklet, which contains a total of 26 Good Practices.
After a short presentation of the action plans of the four REFORM regions, all participants got the opportunity to ask questions to the "GP owners" and discuss how to best integrate those in their own action plans and/or local SUMP processes.
All presentations are available online.
