REPLACE @ COP25 in Madrid

On the 9th of December 2019, Mirko Kruse, a researcher at the HWWI, participated in a side event of the Climate Conference in Madrid: the panel discussion "Circular Cities for Nature". Here Mirko presented the 2 projects relevant for the debate: CLEVER Cities and REPLACE. 
As the Madrid conference was generally considered as inefficient, the reflections made within the panel discussion highlighted significant potential for international cooperation in the area of ​​sustainability.

Keynote speeches: Global Environmental Facility on circular economy and biodiversity, Women Organization for Change in Agriculture and Natural Resource Management (WOCAN) on the gender aspect in environmental protection
Brief presentations on practical examples: Turku (Finland), Xalapa (Mexico), Campeche (Mexico), Lima (Peru) and the region of Catalonia (Spain).
