What is your role in the project?
FGM-AMOR has the status of an advisory partner within the School Chance project and is responsible for the interregional learning process. Therefore, FGM-AMOR holds the coordination of the exchange of experience, know-how transfer and thematic trainings among the partners.
FGM-AMOR is a private non-profit research, consulting and educational organisation based in Graz, Austria. As one of Europe’s leading companies in the field of mobility research, we have more than 20 years of experience in national and European research focused on sustainable transport, offering state of the art, know-how and access to the latest European research results as well as the latest examples in the field of mobility management. We also have extensive experience in project management and in co-ordinating consortia on a national and international level in more than 100 mobility projects. We perform and organise school mobility measures since 20 years. We have a well-trained pedagogical staff with ample practical experience. We offer workshops for pedagogues and teachers to raise their awareness of sustainable mobility and we accomplish and accompany mobility measures on kindergarten and schools, promoting the awareness raising process for environmentally friendly mobility and the involvement of pedagogues/teachers and parents as multiplier.
What are the main steps in the partners' exchange of experience process?
The exchange of experience is the core activity of School Chance and will be developed through various steps. The first is the collection of Good Practices and of excellent initiatives concerning school mobility performed locally and across the EU, which will be gathered in a register. Partners will also form a local stakeholder group with the aim of informing, consulting and involving everyone with an interest in the project at local level. Each partner will undertake 2 Study Visits to get to know better the identified good practices; additionally, 1 joint Study Visit for all partners will be organised in Graz combined with a seminar on financial tools. 4 one-day thematic trainings on different topics related to the general project theme will be organised to enrich the exchange of experience process. At the end of the observation phase, each partner will organise a transfer workshop to have a better understanding of the most interesting and suitable measures to be transferred locally. Another action will be the organisation of Local Workshops with schools during which the results of the exchange of experience will be directly discussed with schools.
Finally, each partner will use the knowledge gained through the exchange of experiences to develop their own Regional Action Plan, which will include good practices to improve the regional/local policy instrument.
