The SIE partners have commissioned study work to find out more about SME internationalisation in Europe. Each SIE partner region will use the studies to help with the development of policies and programmes aimed at helping small businesses. The studies are looking at the following issues:
- Barriers companies face when wanting to trade internationally
- The effectiveness of the help available to help companies overcome these barriers
- Potential improvements that could be made in the SIE regions to boost internationalisation among small businesses
This work is very important in helping companies to export which in turn creates exciting job opportunities and helps businesses to grow.
