After having discussed healthy and active ageing and vulnerable and dependent ageing, SILVER SMEs investigates the opportunities to develop SMEs of the Silver Economy and tourism sectors in rural and mountain areas to better meet the need of older generations.

The seminar will be an opportunity for participants to discover inspiring good practices in the field of seniors’ tourism and accessibility and to see how SMEs from the Silver Economy can support the development of tourism activities targeting older adults in rural and mountainous areas. Mrs Birgitta Sacrédeus, Regional Councillor of Dalarna region, Sweden, and member of the European Committee of the Regions will also introduce the regional context of Dalarna.
