The Active and Assisted Living Program is a European initiative that aims to support better quality of life for older people and to strengthen industrial opportunities while ensuring sustainability of our health systems.
The AAL Programme promotes innovative technological product ideas and services for active and healthy ageing, supporting them until they launch on the market, by funding projects that work towards creating market-ready products and services for older people. Each project consists of SMEs, research bodies and end-user organisations. Since 2008, ALL has funded over 220 projects.
AAL’s projects address a number of issues, including management of chronic conditions, social inclusion, access to online services, mobility, management of daily activities, and support from informal carers. These innovations are presented at the annual AAL Forum, among the largest European events of its kind. The forum provides an excellent opportunity to network within the AAL community and to discuss issues around AAL within workshops, keynote presentations and a large exhibition area.
The 2021 ALL Forum will take place from 10 to 12 May 2021 in Trieste, Italy. Please find on the event's website all information on:
