On November 8, 2019, the Metropolitan city of Bologna hosted the international workshop organized within the IUC Austin TX, USA and Bologna Partnership, aimed at exploring the foundational elements of and intersections between two complex issues: climate resilience and the circular economy.
During the workshop, there was an opportunity to present the SinCE-AFC project to stakeholders, and in particular to Emilia-Romagna Region representatives and to University of Bologna experts.
This workshop intended to provide a higher-level framework that participants could use to contextualize the knowledge they had gained, as well as engage with other complex topics, as the connection between circular economy and Agri-Food Chain.
During the introductions our member staff (Carlotta Petolicchio and Eleonora Di Cintio, Metropolitan City of Bologna) presented the project and started a discussion about Circular economy & Agri-Food sector. This moment helped participants understand the issues’ fundamental functional and actionable elements, how they relate, and where various actors can drive the most change.
