The SMEPlus partners applied for a project extension for additional 6 months of phase 1 due to challenges posed by COVID19. The Interreg Europe programme approved the extension and the SMEPlus will run till 31 January 2023 (phase 1 and phase 2).
The lack of regional study visits and the shift from physical to online meetings had a substantial impact on the project partners and implementation of planned activities. Adaptation to online work and meetings took time, while partners hoped things would turn back to normal.
SMEPlus project partners welcome the Programme’s decision of extending the phase 1 period by an additional semester. This extension will allow partners and stakeholders to finish their project activities, even if hope to meet & see each other will not turn into reality.
