The Lapland University of Applied Sciences hosted another bilateral visit in the frame of the SOCENT SPAs project on the 7th and the 8th of May 2019 for project partners from Slovakia. The topic of the bilateral visit was work integration and rehabilitation.
During the visit, the participants from Slovakia visited Cooperative Uurto in Kemijärvi, which provides employment and training possibilities for the long-term unemployed.
Furthermore, participants got to familiarize themselves with the activities of the Meriva foundation in Kemi, which is a holder of the Social Enterprise Mark. Kemi is also home to the Kemin osaajien cooperative, which was presented to us by Hanna Alila from the employment services of the City of Kemi and by two of the cooperative’s members, the lovely ladies running the Hyvän olon beauty salon.
