On 27th and 28th of October 2021, the European Business and Innovation Center of Albacete hosted a new Partner Virtual Meeting of the Interreg Project TraCS3
TraCS3 project took its first steps in 2018. The partners involved are Hanze University of Applied Sciences (The Netherlands), -the entity that also leads the project-; the province of West-Flanders (Belgium); the Agency for Innovation Science and Technology (Lithuania); the University of Bremen and the Institute of Labour and Economics, from Germany; the Northwest Regional Development Agency, from Romania, the Baltic Institute from Finland and the European Business and Innovation Center of Albacete.
Throughout the present year, and as a result of the established exchanges between regions, the Regional Action Plans of the different partners will be presented, with proposals to advance regional policies to support innovation infrastructure in priority sectors considered key, due to their strong innovative potential, and to address social challenges and improve interregional cooperation. This initiative for the exchange and monitoring of plans will continue until 2023.
The Councilor for Entrepreneurship and Innovation of Albacete, Laura Avellaneda, welcomed the participants to the two working days, on this occasion coordinated by the European Business and Innovation Center (CEEI) of Albacete.
Avellaneda took the opportunity to present the strengths of Albacete, from its position in a privileged enclave for the connection of infrastructures, to its quality of life and the services provided by the city and the region, without forgetting its university campus, its business parks and its industrial areas.
Also taking part in the working day on October 27 were Inmaculada Posadas, academic director of the Vice-Rectorate for Science Policy; Virginia Rodríguez, academic director of the Vice-Rectorate for Innovation, Employment and Entrepreneurship; and representatives of the Industrial Technology Center of Castilla-La Mancha (ITECAM) representing the metal cluster in the region of Castilla-La Mancha. The meeting, which has been held in online format, continued on October 28 with the intervention of Javier Rosell, general director of Enterprises in the region who spoke about the innovation ecosystem; and Gabriela Raquel Gallicchio, from the Chemical and Environmental Technical Institute of the University of Castilla-La Mancha, among others.
In addition, on the 28th, a steering committee meeting was held to review the financial status of phase 1 and phase 2, as well as the status of the different regional action plans.
