The North East Development Agency organised two meetings this semester to reach stakeholders in different parts of the region. The first meeting took place on November 15 and was hosted by the Stefan cel Mare University of Suceava. The second meeting took place on November 21 and was hosted by the Vasile Alecsandri University of Bacau.

The previous meetings with the stakeholders were held in Iasi, where most of the regional innovation infrastructure is located. For this semester the North East Development Agency preferred to split the meeting in two events, going to the other two university cities of the region, Suceava and Bacau. This way, it was possible to be closer to a larger number of interested parties.

The meetings started with a discussion on the results of the TraCS3 survey conducted earlier this year. This survey questioned stakeholders about the usage of their innovation infrastructure. The meeting addressed the main challenges faced by the universities in their interaction with the industry. Also, it referred to the support TraCS3 may offer from some of the best practices. These best practices were encountered during the TraCS3 interregional events. So, which best practices can be reflected in the future regional action plan of North East Romania, depending on stakeholders’ interest and priorities?

In the same line, the new opportunities brought by the targeted policy instrument for the promotion of technological transfer were also presented. The Romanian TraCS3 team and their stakeholders discussed possibilities for valorisation of the regional innovation infrastructure. Is this achievable through collaborative projects between research entities and companies?

These opportunities drew on the feedback collected from regional stakeholders during the year. In this period of time the North-East RDA team has been dedicated to the implementation of the Priority Axis 1: Promoting Technological Transfer, of the Regional Operational Programme 2014 – 2020.

TraCS3 project coordinator Agatha Filimon explains about best practices on innovation infrastructure and interregional collaboration at one of the stakeholder meetings in North East Romania.
