The Agence for Science, Innovation and Technology (MITA) gathered online with TraCS3 stakeholders to discuss opportunities for the regional innovation infrastructure in Lithuania.
The fourth stakeholder meeting took place on 28th of May. Six stakeholders from Sunrise Valley Science and Technology Park, Vilnius University Hospital Santaros Klinikos, Ministry of the Economy and Innovation (Managing Authority), Vytautas Magnus university, Kaunas university of Technology, Nemunas Valley integrated science, business and study centre took part in the meeting.
The main objective of the event was to discuss possible ideas for our action plan development. In addition stakeholders were introduced with current situation regarding study visit in Romania and online tools, which could be used to improve stakeholder group communication due to current quarantine restrictions.
Main ideas on how the action plan should be developed and what concrete instrument tackled were presented. Stakeholder group members questioned the choice of the instrument, as this funding period is coming to an end. Action plan could be made taking into consideration new instruments, which could be launched in the new financial period. Two options were proposed during the discussion:
Option 1: Action plan designed to improve INOGEB LT instrument and tackle Smart InoTech for Industry project, which is focused on Facilitation of smart specialization R&D results by digitalizing production processes in industrial companies. This project address the challenge „The formation and development of DIH services“
Option 2: Action plan designed to improve Digital Innovation Hubs instrument. This measure has made it possible to set up an infrastructure for Digital Innovation Hubs, but the question of how effectively to operate this infrastructure remains relevant. The action plan, based on the good practices of the project partners could propose actions how to make these DIH operations and services more efficient.
MITA presented the plan of organizing study visit in Vilnius. Also possible good practices that could be presented to the partners were discussed.
The next stakeholder meeting will be organized most probably before the upcomping partnership meeting in Vilnius.
