The TRAM Project “Towards new Regional Action plans for sustainable urban Mobility” Kick- Off Meeting was organized by the project Lead partner, Marche Region, and it was held in Ancona, Italy, on 7 October 2016. Opportunities to develop sustainable urban mobility policies in Europe towards a competitive, resource efficient and low-carbon oriented European transport system and some lessons learned and winning approaches from Partners’ experiences have been discussed during the event.
During the first day meeting, it was defined the work structure, project management issues and project financial requirement and topic, and the communication dissemination strategy. This was a very important meeting, which allows the Partners to know each other, and became aware of their roles and the initiative.
The project was also officially launched during a public conference the 7th of October 2016, at the Headquarters of Region Marche, in Ancona. During the conference, it was presented the following five European good practices on Sustainable Urban mobility, selected by each project :
1. ATTAC “ATTractive Urban Public Transport for Accessible Cities”- Region Marche;
2. Andalusian Bicycle Plan 2014-2020- Andalucia Regional Government;
3. Private Vehicles as an integrated part of the public transport system- Regione Blekinge-;
4. The Green Arrow Project- Municipality of Misckolc
5. Development of local Public Transport in Orodea- Northwest Regional Development Agency.
The chairing of the discussion was led by Mr. Giuseppe D’Angelo, National Coordinator of the Interregional Commission of Mobility, Transport and Territorial governance - Conference of the Regions and the Autonomous Provinces .The project kick off meeting was attended by Paride Prussiani( head of the Secretary of Member Council of Transport), Maurizio Terzoni( Head of Managing Authority ESF and ERDF), Cinzia Montironi (public officer of Department of Urban Practicability and Transport Management of Region Marche), Maria Fiestas Carpena ( Andalucia Regional Government), Mathias Roos ( Region Blekinge), Istvan Nagy ( Municipality of Miskolc) and Ovidiu Vasile ( North West Regional Development Agency).
With Marche Region, lead partner of the project, the project meeting and the launch conference were attended by the delegation of the other project partners: Andalucia Regional Government, Region Blekinge( Sweden), Municipality of Misckolc City of Rank( HU) and North West Regional Development Agency( RO).
