On 20 November 2018, in Miskolc-Hungary, Region Blekinge, PP3 of TRAM project, realized the Peer Review Workshop of the draft of their Action Plan, in close cooperation with PP4.
Representatives from PP4 opened the meeting greeting all participants and welcoming them to Miskolc. Newly appointed project manager for PP3, Mr Mattias Andersson, presented the agenda and Mr Magnus Forsberg from PP3 presented the Best Practice identification process and the difficulties that were encountered. One lesson learned was that it has been easier to involve stakeholders when including TRAM with other projects and formal meetings.
Afterwards, Mr Magnus Forsberg and Mr Henrik Ny presented the draft of PP3 action plan that consist of two actions. The first action suggests to explore the untapped potential of demand-responsive transport (DRT) solutions in the region. Based on the best practices in the TRAM project, demand-responsive transport (DRT) offers accessibility, availability and reliability for vulnerable groups in sparsely populated areas. The second suggested action is an Incentive-driven biking campaign.
A discussion followed the presentation and questions were raised by the ITRE Panel. Among other questions, how DRT affects the shift from rural to urban living. The issue of new business models was raised as well.
After lunch ITRE guided discussion followed with the result that new deliverables were added to the preliminary PP3 Action plan.
