Laura Veart the project manager of the Interreg Europe Project, Urban M, recently attended a high level policy event organised by OPEN MAKER as part of the European Maker Week 2018. The title of the event was "Hacking Policy for the Maker Movement". The policy session was held at the European Parliament and was hosted by Mr. Georgi Pirinski MEP and chaired by Luisa De Amicis, COO at PlusValue, with the generous participation of Mr Pēteris Zilgalvis, Head of Unit Startups & Innovation (DG Connect). This was a great opportunity for the Urban M project to engage in a conversation on current industry challenges and advance new solutions for the industry framework of the future. Urban M have also provided concrete suggestions to the future policy by contributing to the policy note which will be presented to European policymakers in the coming months.
