On March 23, the Spatial Planning, Housing, Landscape and Strategic Projects Department of Navarra Government organized a briefing session regarding housing and building renovation related subsidy programs and the opening of the calls, in the frame of the National Plan of Recovery and Resilience.

One of the actions included in LC Districts Action Plan for our region is the use of the Existing Building Book as a tool to foster energy efficiency implementations undertaken in an orderly and planned manner. In this seminar, Diego González, Head of the Building Section Housing Service, explained the subsidy line to draft the EBB according to the regional specificities included in the Regional Action Plan as consequence of the LC Districts project learnings.

José María Aierdi (head of the department) and Eneko Larrarte (Housing Department Managing Director) both regional policy responsible, were in charge of the introduction. Javier Etayo, Head of Housing Service, presented the general framework of the funding programs. Then, housing civil servants technicians Diego González and Elisa Fernández de Valderrama explained deeply to the audience the announced subsidy programs, calls that will be opened within next week. In between the presentations, a lively debate has occurred where doubts and queries were answered.

The event was aimed mainly at technicians and building administrators. More than 150 people participated in the event that took place in Pamplona, in which the regional stakeholder group of our project was widely represented.

It is important to highlight that the subsidies were very welcome within the participants and our regional stakeholders. Therefore, we hope that the impact of the policies and the Next Generation funds will be as fruitful and have such success as yesterday event had.
