BUILD2LC project was presented during the European Week of Regions and Cities, an event held in Brussels from 10 to 13 October.
Andalusian Energy Agency, as the lead partner of BUILD2LC project, presented it during the plenary session "Smart Specialisation Energy and Innovation in European Region" in the round table "Energy priorities and enhancing interregional cooperation". Joaquin Villar explained the aims of the project and how the partnership is going to work during the project lifetime to achieve them.
Mr. Villar, who was invited to EUWRC to explain the experience of Andalusia in the field of sustainable construction, remarked that one of the most important characteristic of Interreg Europe BUILD2LC project is the replicability of the future results, due to that all the partners has the sustainable contruction and rehabilitation as a priority sector in their regional strategies.
The European Week of Regions and Cities is an annual four-day event during which cities and regions showcase their capacity to create growth and jobs, implement European Union cohesion policy, and prove the importance of the local and regional level for good European governance. It is organised by the Committe of the Regions and the European Commission´s DG for Regional Policy.
