The institution:

IRENA - Istrian Regional Energy Agency Ltd. is an independent nonprofit organization, founded in 2009 by the Istrian County in the Republic of Croatia, and in this project acts as the Project Partner (3-PP). They are responsible for conducting activities and elaboration of the outputs following the projects workplan, and their focus will be on the development of Regional Action Plan by using the examples of best practices from other partner countries and evaluation of their applicability in the Istrian County, in particular ones related to zero waste and beach facilities.

The team:

The IRENA team is constituted by a team of professional, ambitious, and positive experts dealing with different energy or environmental issues. 

Dalibor Jovanović is the head of the IRENAs CAPonLITTER project team. He has many years of experience in European cooperation projects, especially in projects that deal with energy efficiency, renewable energy sources, and environmental protection. He has also high competences in project management, financial management, writing of project proposals, and he is the Project Coordinator of another Interreg Europe project, SUPPORT. In the project CAPonLITTER will be responsible for coordinating the project's activities on regional level and for the development of the Regional Action Plan.

Andrea Poldrugovac will be the project assistant, mainly focused on the administrative, financial, and communication parts of the project. He has experience in European cooperation projects, particularly with the projects aimed at exploring and establishing new ways of financing activities dealing with energy efficiency and environmental protection.

Other experts from the same team that will help on some tasks: Nikola Petrić, Antonio Franković, and Dino Glavičić.

Together, this team wants to contribute to the success of this project and its objectives! They will bring their expertise to CAPonLITTER and work together with the other European partners to assure the best results, in Croatia and in the other countries of the project.
