The 1st Local Support Group meeting took place in the Region of Central Macedonia, Greece, in September 6th.
Central Macedonia is facing a sustained and prolonged divestment. The Circular Economy model could help the region's return to sustainable growth.
The main objective of the meeting was to better familiarize stakeholders of the Local Support Group with the concept of Circular Economy and to intrigue them to discover Circular Economy practices in the business models of their members.
The European policy on Circular Economy and the role of the Region of Central Macedonia as the owner of the relevant policy instrument were presented to the stakeholders. ANATOLIKI s.a. presented the Interreg Europe Programme and CESME project highlighting expectations from Local Support Group stakeholders for the project.
