The first Local Support Group meeting was held in Wales on July 5, after an equally successful kick off project meeting earlier in May.
Welsh Government considers CESME as an opportunity to help push the circular economy agenda forward, by sharing valuable expertise that will help break down barriers for SMEs and bring this vision into a reality.
Companies that can serve this cause were invited to participate in the first meeting. The conditions and opportunities for Circular Economy in Wales were presented. Participants became acquainted with the CESME project and its output objectives for Wales. Potential case studies were discussed, as well as opportunities for collaborative working in relation to circular economy programmes. The intention for the CESME project to reach a wider SMEs audience via a series of workshops across Wales, with the involvement of the LSG members was highlighted. Procedural issues were also discussed.
Next Local Support Group meeting will be held in October.
