September 14th, 2016 saw the opening seminar for INTERREG EUROPE CLUSTERS3 project in Riga, Latvia, which attracted large number of versatile participants.
At the seminar took part 31 representatives from various stakeholders representing project relevant industries, enterprises, organizations, clusters, government institutions and universities.
During the first part of the seminar participants were introduced to the cluster environment in Latvia, as well as the overall RIS3 strategy and its implementation, with a particular focus on cluster potential in enforcing the strategy.
In the second part participants were introduced with CLUSTERS3 project goals, available financing and its planned development, and information on project partners was also given.
During the closing part seminar participants had a chance to hear about the Ministry of Economics representative experience at the spring CLUSTERS3 kick-off meeting in Bilbao, Spain, and were called to apply for the next planned event in Piedmont, Italy in October, 2016.
