The second interregional exchange of experience (IEoE) meeting of the COCOON project took place at the Environment and Resources Authority (ERA) in Marsa (Malta) from 31/05 - 02/06. 20 people from all the partner organisations were present and discussed upon improvement of the regional policy instruments and the report on mapping. Best practices from Brandenburg and the Netherlands were shared and the support of the recently approved RAWFILL project was presented. A site visit to the Marsascala family park demonstrated a successful rehabilitation project that was supported by the Cohesion Fund - Rehabilitation and Restoration of Closed Landfills. In the coming weeks the COCOON partners will further develop the report on mapping that will be discussed at the third IEoE meeting (September 2017 in Brandenburg, Germany).
