After Launching the COCOON project in 2016 with the goal of developing long term policy for landfill management in Europe, it is now nearing completion. The knowledge and experience acquired over the past 5 years have published on the project website. But, given the approaching end of the project, a final event was considered as an appropriate means to fill in our partners, stakeholders and the MEPs encountered along the way.
Due to the travel restrictions imposed, and the international nature of the project the choice was made by the project partners to hold a 1hr online event.
This compact event provided a synopsis of COCOON’s inception, the lessons learned along the way, our recommendations for further policy development, and the actual case studies performed.
