The first study visit of the CREADIS3 project was held from 20-21 March 2018 in Bratislava, in the Slovak Republic. It was organized by the Slovak Republic and focused on the topic “Foster multi-level administrative collaboration across the territory to enable better synergies between the different authorities in charge of CCIs”.
The date of the study visit was also set with regard to the 25th International Film Clubs Festival Febiofest, being at the 3rd Industry Days at Febiofest and including a presentation of upcoming Slovak films, as well as masterclasses and discussion pannels on challenges of contemporary and future trends in the Film Industry.
The study visit program was divided into two days. The first day focused on presenting current and future activities of the CREADIS3 project, including Steering Committee Meeting.
In the afternoon, the first site-visit to the National Business Centre /NBC/, which was identified as one of the good practices, took place. This center offers comprehensive support to SMEs and those interested in starting their business. Creative Point, which is a part of the NBC, is a self-standing component of the Acceleration Program. It is basically a creative workshop offering services that are tailored to creating modules and prototypes as well as development of new products. The main goal of Creative Point is to provide access to new technologies – enhancing creativity, knowledge sharing, proven procedures and further resources for creative ideas to a wide target group and inspiring entrepreneurs.
A networking dinne to all study visit participants was offered at the local restaurant Zylinder.
The second day was dedicated to workshops led by hosting and co-hosting Partners. Workshop led by The Slovak Republic consisted of several parts focused on the main theme of the study visit including concrete examples of good practice at different administrative levels (speakers: Zuzana Megová: Ministry of Culture of The Slovak Republic; Michal Hladký: Creative Industry Košice; Denisa Zlatá: Ministry of Culture of The Slovak Republic). Finally, selected project Partners were invited to a panel discussion to share their experience on the topic.
The second workshop led by co-hosting Partner Public Service of Wallonia focused on the topic “Policies and tools to support the development cross- sectoral cooperation in the cultural and creative industries of Wallonia”.
The 2nd site visit offered to the participants of the study visit the opportunity to attend the Febiofest, including workshop with Claudia Schnugg focusing on a connection between science and fiction in film. The program finished by the film projection of the last film by Jan Švankmajer: “Insects” which will be premiered on International Film Festival Rotterdam 2018.
