Through an open call for applications, 47 organizations from all over the Europe, Voices of culture choose the participants in the structured dialogue on “Culture and the sustainable development goals: Challenges and Opportunities”.
The brainstorming meeting will be held on the 2nd & 3rd of December 2020, in a digital format. It is a structured dialogue that aims to create a framework between cultural stakeholders and the European Commission.
Participants will share their input on five suggested areas of discussion, as education, growth and employment, sustainable communities, climate change and freedom of expression.
The main challenge will be how to ensure the effective contribution of culture to the global policy agenda. The main opportunities will be demonstrating culture’s importance to society, and supporting advocacy.
