The partners together with their stakeholders could get in touch with some best practices that belong to the "Lisboa Creativa" system. This system was presented during the first morning session on July 3d at the Lisbon City Hall: all the stages of the creativity chain (centres of aggregation and creative communities, living labs and fab-labs, show rooms and exhibition spaces) are represented by different realities integrated into the urban economic and cultural fabric, making Lisbon an international hub for cultural and creative enterprises, with a strong capacity of attraction. Later in the day CRE:HUB visited the Lisbon Underground Village, which is a co-working community and a creative event destination. Its unique architectural structure is made from shipping containers and double decker buses, recycled into office spaces, restaurant and conference room.
During the visit at the Impact Hub, stakeholders have highlighted the need for a connection between the necessities of the territory, the business ideas of start-ups and the financial means that should be put at disposal by local policy makers. This would help to make sustainable such kind of hubs. The first day ended meeting the Companhia de Fiação and Tecidos Lisbonense located in the LX FACTORY, a former 23,000 m2 industrial site in the district of Alcântara. This urban fragment, was hidden for years and now it is opened as a creative island with stages for different sets of happenings related to fashion, publicity, communication, fine arts, architecture, music, etc., it attracts also many visitors to rediscover Alcântara. During the afternoon of the second day, CRE:HUB together with TODOS managers visited an hub in the areas of creativity, communication, brand activation, advertising and brand strategy. TODOS is located in the eastern part of Lisbon, Poço do Bispo - Marvila. Its two managers have rented and renovated an area of 1600 sqm. The area is expanding to include a fab-lab and a shooting studio that will integrate in-house production such as film production, photography, design, art and music. The field visit ended with a Bar Camp held at the Lisbon Oceanarium complex. CREHUB partners and stakeholders discussed and try to answer to the following question: “How to create (UN) Sustainable Development Goals business solutions”?
