Regional Council of South Ostrobothnia in Finnland organized the next ERUDITE Partner Event in Seinäjoki for consortium partners, stakeholders, beneficiaries and also decision-makers coming from 7 EU countries by inviting the participants to special study visits, present relevant regional good practices related digitalization services. The event took place on the 7th and 8th June 2022.

During the 2-day event the participants took part on several study visits, discussion and worked on common solutions how to overcome the challenges of COVID-19 affecting rural and regionals digital services by applying with the SERIO+ method.

This time the special focus of the meeting was on programs applied successful by partners in the topic of remote working strategies.

On DAY 1 of the meeting three local remote working strategies were presented by invited speakers.

  • Remote Working and Studying as a growth platform for vitality
  • Donegal Remote Working Strategy
  • Nivernais Morvan digital Hub.

The presentations were followed by an intensive group work during which by using the so called #SEROI+ methodology the workshop participants analysed the social and economic return on investment of programs supporting remote work strategies.

The event was hosted by the Kalevan Navetta Art and Culture Centre where the partners were taking part on a guided tour to know more about the history of the building and the digitalization developments carried out to be make the Centre an important cultural and community spot in the city. 

In the afternoon the partners and invited stakeholders visited SoTe to learn about the ‘Technology for the Social and Health Sector - development project’ which contains acquired equipments, planned pilots, a new type of sensory room and training in ecosystem only possible in hybrid equipment. During the study visit the participants learned about the opportunities of #health and #recovery with help of new technology by Southern Ostrobothnia Hospital District, Area of activity of psychiatry, #Rehabilitation unit.

As a final program the ERUDITE team took part on a short hiking supported by the so called Citynomadi digital application at Lake Kyrkösjärvi.

On DAY 2 in the morning session the partners continued the thematic Cluster Workshops and impact analysis they started on DAY 1 by concentrating on the remote working strategy projects.

During the afternoon program the consortium visited VIBIOL company which provides services for virtual events. VIBIOL is a new business in South Ostrobothnia working with XR technologies as a part of tourist’s customer journey.

Finally the partners visited the so called SeiHOW Lab at SeAMK, the Telemedicine Center which is a demonstration lab for creating and supporting intelligent future homes with modern equipment and services, which enable high quality, safe and active living at home for elderly people.
