Nièvre Stakeholders Health and Care Study Visit: to Västernorrland between the 05-06th of December 2021.
Background: In Sweden the regions or counties are responsible for the delivery and management of community health services and medico-social services and hospitals. Västernorrland region is currently implementing a 'Good and close to the community health service' policy which includes the development of digital health service platform.
Stakeholders from Nièvre county council and other public bodies have through the additional phase of the ERUDITE project identified this practice of being significant interest to their own policy objectives of maintaining and improving the delivery of health and social services, in particular in the county’s rural areas. In addition they are focusing on how to develop a more effective care in the community service for elderly people, to help maintain their autonomy and enable them to continue living at home.
