The Vocational Center "KEK Gennimatas" has been working intensively to make the most of every opportunity in order to contribute to the South Aegean Regional Authority's strategic choice to support the primary sector and our local traditional products.
As part of this effort, it is currently implementing a series of subsidized seminars on Promotion of Exports, Export Marketing ofAgri-Food Products and Compliance with standardization systems of Agri-food Products.
It has also already organized educational activities and continues to prepare and offer free seminars on topics such as Viticulture and Oenology, Local Traditional Recipes (from local traditional products), Beekeeping, Food and Beverage Processing and so on.
The activities of the beekeeping training took place during March and included, among others, a two-day training for novice beekeepers and a beekeeping day with the participation of two renowned representatives of the beekeeping industry, which was attended by both beginners and experienced beekepers.
For the organization of the above mentioned educational activities, "KEK Gennimatas" cooperated with the Beekeeping Association of Rhodes "Kipseli".
Following the developments and based on the new training requirements due to the pandemic of Covid 19, this training was implemented online through the modern e-learning platform of "KEK Gennimatas" for the absolute safety of the participants and the trainers.
These actions were carried out as part of the implementation of the South Aegean Action Plan, which was drafted in the framework of EUREGA project and they are funded by the South Aegean Region.
