Lubelskie Action Plan is born thanks to the opportunity of exchanging ideas and experiences with Firespol project peers and close cooperation of policy makers with stakeholders supporting renewable energy sector.
Lubelskie Voivodeship addresses the Development Strategy for the Lubelskie Voivodeship 2014-2020 (with a 2030 perspective) in the Action Plan. This is the key document that outlines the vision, goals and development prospects for the Lubelskie Region. Hence the objective is to adapt the existing policy instrument taking into account the potential of the region to develop renewable energy and to provide tailor-made information services for those interested in investing in renewables.
The implementation of the Action Plan will result in stressing the role of bottom-up initiatives including many models of citizen involvement in renewable energy investments such as energy cooperatives, energy clusters, local community energy groups, etc. In order to popularise and support prosumer initiatives it is necessary to establish an info contact point. The info contact point will spread the knowledge about the possible forms of cooperation and their financing, including available support for RE investment. The info contact point will be established under the Marshal Office of Lubelskie Voivodeship. The Marshal Office has adequate facilities and office accommodation to host the contact point. According to the timeframe the implementation of the planned actions should be finalized by the end of 2021.
