Our project partner in Latvia, the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Regional Development of the Republic of Latvia (MoEPRD), attended this conference, organised by the Riga Technical University and other energy exeperts on March 7, 2019. During the conference, various issues in the context of conditions imposed by the Energy Efficiency Law of Latvia (which entered into force in 2016) were discussed, including:
- Progress of energy management system development and implementation in Latvian municipalities,
- Synergy between efficient energy management at national, regional and local level,
- Possible and necessary improvements in order to encourage the implementation and certification of energy management.
In the event, municipalities, planning regions, ministries and the Latvian Association of Local and Regional Governments were represented.
