Cooperative Slimmer Leven 2020 (Cooperative for Smart Living 2020) lies within the Brainport region. With the ever growing ageing demographic and the desire for self-reliance, so too is the demand for high quality, efficient and affordable healthcare. It is here in which the Cooperative Slimmer Leven 2020 lends a helping hand; through the encouragement and development of technological innovations that intelligently react to the current situation.
The Cooperative has a strong belief that in order to fully address the challenges, the scope of the types of innovation needs to be widened rather than narrowed and focalised. In realising this, the cooperative has set out to work on 7 different areas in order to push and excel the region. These are the areas of Living Labs, data infrastructures, joint facilities & service delivery, the consumer market, impact investment, disruptive innovation, and finally, education and workforce.
Slimmer Leven 2020 is able to tackle all of these different areas, in part, due to the composition of their organisation. With its network comprising of over 60 different partners, it at the same time reflects the entire value chain. Private and public, local and regional government, hospitals, GP associations, large multinationals, health insurance providers, home care organisation, nursing organisations, educational institutions and many more. Together they are working to maintaining and strengthening the high quality of life of citizens in the Brainport Eindhoven region through the development and wide application for citizens of added-value technological and innovative concepts in the areas of care, housing and welfare, using economic drivers to accelerate developments.
