On June 15, the Territorial Delegation in Almeria of the Regional Ministry of Environment and Territorial Planning, LP of the IMPACT Interreg Europe project, established the Working Group to prepare the Second Sustainable Development Plan of the Cabo de Gata-Níjar Nature Park and its area of socio-economic influence.
The meeting was chaired by the Territorial Delegate and counted with the presence of 21 representatives of the institutions involved in the work, as well as by personnel of the Environment and Water Agency of Andalusia that will lead the drafting of the Sustainable Development Plan.
Sustainable Development Plans are socio-economic dynamization plans whose final objective is the improvement of the level and quality of life of the population in the area of influence of the Natural Parks, in a way compatible with environmental conservation and considering the protected natural space as an important asset of local economic development.
