On the 1st July 2016, the Lead-partner, the Andalusian Ministry of Environment and Spatial Planning met with researchers from the Autonomous University of Madrid (UAM) in order to explore innovative ways of redesigning Sustainable Development Plans for Protected Areas.
These plans will constitute the main outputs of the IMPACT project.
The first action is to obtain a comprehensive diagnose of the protected area and its area of influence. The methodology that will be followed, known as ECOGRADIENT, analyses socio-economic variables and takes into consideration current planning.
Pilot tests will be done in Sierra de Grazalema and Sierra de Andújar nature parks.
