In two days time the partners involved in the Interreg Europe Intensify project will meet in Dessau Roblau, Germany to discuss mechanisms by which communites can be incentivised to engage with technologies that will help them to reduce green house gas emissions. Speakers at the event include Daan Creupelandt from RESCoop in Belgium, Joao Cleto from Ageneal Portugal and Ana Rita Antunes of Coopernico also based in Portugal. The event is being organised by ECAT, the Environmental Centre for administration and Technology in Lithuania and will be hosted by Energieavantgarde e.V. Thies Schroeder of Energieavantgarde believes that it is important that communities have access to low cost finance in order to increase the rate at which citizens can engage with ultra low carbon and renewable energy technologies. Energieavantgarde is an actor network in the region of Anhalt-Bittenberfeld-Wittenberger that works in cooperation with national and European partners on the future oriented transformation of the energy system on site.
