Maribor Development Agency, the lead partner of project INTRA (programme Interreg Europe) proposed changes to the OP for implementation of the EU Cohesion Policy 2014-2020 in East Slovenia. As the result, the Ministry for Economic Development and Technology of the Republic of Slovenia prepared the Internationalisation vouchers.
Gašper Tratnik, the owner and CEO of GT Collection, Gašper Tratnik:
A registered Brand Mark is an absolute necessity, if you want to sell your own design in the fashion industry, therefore the voucher helped him to cover the basics, before starting to sell both online and in stores.
Gašper had years of experience being a fashion model both in Europe and South East Asia. Getting to know the fashion industry, he decided to start creating his own brand, selling his own designer clothing fashion accessories and jewellery, for both men and women.
In 2019 he applied for TWO internationalisation vouchers. One was for market research on the foreign markets and the other for a patent application or registration of trademark/design. Combined he received 5.910,00 EUR of support. With the combination of both vouchers he was able to register his brand name and enter the North American market.
With an online store, he managed to reach the global market. Now, you can buy GT Collection from just about everywhere, where you have online access.
