Collaboration with Valga municipality government on piloting IRENES materials
On November 9th Estonian Environment Agency and Estonian University of Life Sciences met with Valga municipality and local stakeholders to introduce the IRENES materials that the local government can use to develop local renewable energy by taking ecosystem services synergies and countereffects into account. The materials were received very well and we will continue supporting them in their planning process as they are using IRENES map layers to plan suitable areas for renewable energy production in the county.
