AGROFOOD Murcia Cluster has organized a meeting with stakeholders from the AgritechMurcia platform and the Economic Development Agency of the Autonomous Community of the Region of Murcia (INFO), held on November 20, 2019. This meeting has been of special interest due to AgritechMurcia is an agricultural technology platform that brings together 20 companies in the sector and different knowledge organizations and universities with more than 40 years of experience in the field of research, development and innovation in the agricultural sector.
In addition, this semester, the stakeholders from the CIFEA of Molina de Segura have helped us to contribute two Good Practices for iWATERMAP. More information: https://www.interregeurope.eu/iwatermap/good-practices/
On the other hand, on November 15, 2019, iWATERMAP project was presented at the Ministry of Water, Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries and Environment of the Region of Murcia and it was able to establish contact with the AQUARES project, which aims to achieve efficient water management through water reuse, seize opportunities in the water market and ensure its protection. Due to the synergies, both AQUARES and iWATERMAP were able to obtain conclusions from the different stakeholders invited, in water reuse especially.
Finally, this semester we have prepared a first draft of the action plans and we can indicate that the Region of Murcia must guarantee coordination between the critical mass, the presence of trained personnel for the labor market and the realization of agreements or participation in internationalization projects that contribute to its sustainable development through the water technology sector.
