One of the goals of the European Green Deal is to increase the EU's ambitions in the field of climate and environmental protection so that the greenhouse gas emissions can be reduced by at least 50% and towards 55% in a responsible way by 2030. For this reason, a number of European climate, energy and environmental legislation have been identified to be reviewed and, if necessary, revised.
The public debate on the Renewable Energy Directive (2018/2001/EU) and the Energy Efficiency Directive (2012/27/EU and 2018/2002/EU) is open from 3 August 2020 and will close on 21 September 2020. More information can be found here.
