Conservation, protection and long-term sustainability of the cultural heritage of Harghita county - local values, traditional costumes
Action 3. Support for heritage tourism – workshop for Local Action Groups, institutions and funding authorities in Szeklerland.
The workshop was held in Estelnic commune, attended by the members of the Local Action Groups from the Szekler region.
Mrs. Mátéffy Mária, the executive director of the CsíkLeader Association gave a presentation about the Action Plan made within the Local Flavors project.
She informed those present that the purpose of the Action Plan is to establish the main guidelines for the conservation, protection and sustainable use of cultural heritage in Harghita County, with a special emphasis on protecting local values, especially traditional folk costumes, as well as the possibility of using those for tourist purposes.
The 3 actions were also presented as follows: 1. Development of heritage tourism infrastructure, 2. Widening and strengthening regional network of heritage tourism – production and promotion and 3. Support for heritage tourism - workshop for LEADER Action Groups, institutions and funding authorities in Szeklerland, also mentioning the implementation phase of each action.
In the frame of the workshop were also discussed the good practices learned from the other Local Flavours project partners, respectively from the stakeholders from different regions.
The workshop ended with a debate on the actions developed in the Action Plan.
