The purpose of this event is to gather elements of intangible or non-material elements of culture, which could promote the creation and improvement of cultural and tourism products.
During the meeting, by working together with the local stakeholders, it was achieved that the elements of the database and map characterizing the tourism ecosystem of Pierīga districts, which traditionally do not appear in them or appear rarely, are defined, and determined, namely:
• Associations, communities, and leaders of communities, (especially focusing on places where communities are just forming).
• Elements and values of place identity.
• Legends, historical gossip, stories, rumours. Notable historical figures.
• Historically significant events.
• Traditions, holidays, fairs, commemorations, and farming practices (including those that are no longer practiced).
• Historical infrastructure (roads, bridges, canals, trails).
• Historically significant natural objects and aesthetic scenery, including objects that are no longer identifiable today.
This event build wider strengthens cooperation network and is serving as a landmark when seeking and attracting EU co-financing.
