Congratulations - Verkehrsgemeinschaft Mittelthüringen (VMT), a member of the Optitrans stakeholder group, is the winner of the German Mobility Award!
"VMT's app enables users not only to be flexible, but also cost-effective and uncomplicated in local transport. The offer is exemplary customer-friendly and easy to use. This intelligent technology makes environmentally friendly public transport even more attractive", the Minister continued.
The project "Check-in/Check-out: One wipe and go!" will meet the challenges of this year in a special way because it makes contactless ticket purchase even easier. With the help of the FAIRTIQ app, public transport users can check in with a wipe before starting their journey and check out again in the same way at the end of the journey. The cheapest price is always charged.
Together with nine other award winners, the VMT was able to prevail over a total of 309 applications from companies, start-ups, research institutions and associations. A jury of experts from the fields of business, science, society and politics selected the ten best projects and the winner of the special prize. The award will be presented for the fifth time this year. The awards will take place in November.
