Gathering all local stakeholders concerned by the transition to a low-carbon economy in Dover Strait around PASSAGE project: here is the joint ambition of Kent and Pas-de-Calais County Council, which was embodied on 14 and 15 September by two meetings on each shore of the English Channel.

On 14 September, about 20 persons gathered in Maidstone (England) at the invitation of Kent County Council to discuss the main stakes of PASSAGE project for Kent stakeholders. A good opportunity to start considering what best practices from Kent territory could be shared to the European partnership in the coming months.

A similar meeting took place the day after in Wimille, Pas-de-Calais (France), organised by Pas-de-Calais County Council. This meeting on French side gathered about 40 persons from different backgrounds (universities, local authorities, State administration, business-related organisations etc.). An efficient brainstorming on the main stakes of the low-carbon transition in Pas-de-Calais county and beyound!

A joint meeting will follow in a few weeks to capitalise on the conclusions of these two first meetings and join forces at cross-border level!
