RIGENERA is an important festival of Reggio Emilia which wants to promote a new model of sustainable architecture to build more versatile, beautiful, creative, circular and people-based cities. The festival is organized by the Order of Landscape, Planners and Conservatory Architects of Reggio Emilia - part of PROSPERA local stakeholder group – with the support of the Municipality of Reggio Emilia.
Among the many events organized by the festival, it is worth mentioning the round table “HISTORICAL CHANGES IN FOOD CONSUMPTION AND CONTEMPORARY ARCHITECTURE” that took place on 15 October 2020. The event analysed the development of urban city and the new relationship between agriculture, urban settlements and infrastructure, with a particular focus on regeneration processes.
The event symbolises the increased attention to the regeneration of urban-rural relationships at local level, thus providing concrete evidences of how the objectives of PROSPERA project are getting more and more significant for the designing of new sustainable development plans for European cities and regions.
